As an inventory specialist, I pick items and find work orders. As we move into our new building, I’ve been in charge of the inventory. I’ve been going back and forth between both buildings and directing the team with what we’re doing, how we’re moving and where things go. It’s all looking nice and tidy!
The move into the new building will make things easier for everyone. We’ll be together with the digital team, so that will make work easier.
I’m also working on a few side projects. One is a product identifier list that will help us tell the difference between items more quickly, like ladies’ versus men’s sizes, or colors that are very similar. This will making identifying items and put-away a lot faster and more efficient.
I’ve been here two-and-a-half years. I started on the digital side on weekend shifts, then bounced around. I’ve worked in almost every department! But that’s been good because it gives you a sense of how the flow of an entire order happens.
I really like the team I work on. We get along really great. I like to be motivated and push myself to work harder. It’s fun because there’s always something to learn.
We work really hard to get orders out and make them perfect. Every department has their own role in making that happen, and we work together.
I have two dogs and two cats. My dog Skye is almost 3 years old and is about 50-60 pounds, and Louie is 2 months old and 30 pounds. I recently bought a house too, so that keeps me busy. I like to watch movies, write, color and paint.
